This was the "Bear Travis, Beach Creek Pickin'" web site.
Unfortunately, a lot of people decided to use the guest book as a place to put SPAM, and links to their favorite, um, off topic websites.
Since a lot of the people (and there was more than one) telling me this use dial-up, and something called "web accelerators", they are seeing a website that doesn't really exist anymore; I've killed the guestlog, and now, the frontpage.
There were also complaints about the links to music downloads; at the time I did this site, February of 2000, the links did work; somewhere down the road, between server moves, house moves and assorted other things, the music files linked to stopped working. I apologize for this.
Last year, me and Bear made some pretty good recordings, including video, of some of his favorites; we still really haven't figured out exactly what to do with this material, but it so far surpasses what was previously available here, I planned on just scrapping the whole website, anyway; this is part of the reason I didn't pay much attention to the old website.
Anyway, until we DO figure out what is going to be here, I'll go ahead and link to the stuff thats been here AND works, and one thing from the new recordings.
This is the dial-up streaming version of Bear Travis doing "Kentucky means paradise". It's in Windows Media Format, and put together with an old method; this means that if you have Windows 98 or newer, you should be able to see and hear Bear without installing any special hardware. this also means it won't look or sound real good.
Something a little more average:
The following are REAL audio files from the old website; if you have any version of REAL player at all on your computer, you should be able to listen to these clips.
Bear Rock (yup, he came up with it)
Ok. If you have any comments, e-mail them to real@changestorm.com; if the comment is for Papa-bear, I'll forward it along.
