Hello my friends, I wish you well . My goodness its been a long time since you heard from me ! I sure have missed you - and I thank you for all the letters and phone calls.
Relatives tell me theres been folks asking about me , also. Well , Ive been sort of rusticating and getting the computer brought up to speed to send the column in by E-mail as is now required .You know what
they say about an old dog and new tricks, dont you ?
Did you get your lettuce and mustard planted on Valentines Day as you should ? We didnt ,
but me and the Grand-Kids planted a few old sprouty potatoes the last time they were over here. It seemed like a fine day to ease my itchy gardening fingers so we got a shovel and headed for the garden. When it was too late to turn back I found out that sun may have said " planting time"
but the wind said "throw those old things in a hole as fast as you can and get back to the fire !"
Naturally enough both kids wanted to use the shovel , so my big foot on one side and their little foot on the other got the job done . I hope their joy of gardening lasts till theyre big enough to do some actual work. Amber inherited my "Green thumb ", so shell be fine if I can keep her mind off picking weed bouquets and sticking mint in the ground in all the wrong places.
Write to me, folks, and let me know if I can look up any recipes for you. Space is limited, but Ill print what I can. 1417 Lakeview Terr. , Clarksville ,TN. , 37040 or askgranny@juno.com .
