The standard package consists of a Main Welcome Page, a new car listing area, a used car listing area. A misc. items listing area, a "hot links" area, and a elective area.
The welcome page is just that; it gives web trotters an idea of what they are going to find deeper in your site.
The new car listing is a table listing of new cars, with description of the vehicles and a thumbnail graphic of each; the potential customer can use this as a link to a further information page with larger graphics and a connection to the info form. You may change this information 4 times per calendar month. The info form allows the potential customer to place as much or as little personal information as they like in a text box, which is forwarded to you.
The Used car Listing is the same as the new car listing.
Miscellaneous items can be: often called for parts, T-shirts, Mailers, ballcaps, etc. The Misc. listing can also be changed 4 times per calendar month.
The Hotlinks area is where you place connections to Internet resources outside your website, perhaps a corporate web page, or area information.
Electives are just that: Elective. Anything you
want. Sales Representative biographies, history of your business,
maps, etc. You can have up to 10 pages, of no more than 1MB total
information. You can even make these sales representative
homepages, if you like.
How you get the information provided by potential customers is up to you. Our standard package includes notification by fax once daily of any information supplied, or instant notification by e-mail if you already have established e-mail service. Optional notification methods are: we will provide you with dial-up access to our e-mail server or a 1-800 international e-mail server for an additional $10/month (not recommended, there are a lot of free-mail services available). If needed we can lease you a Internet Capable computer system for $80.00/month.
If you feel that 10 listings in any one category is insufficient, you can have an additional 20 listings for $50/month.
Secure on-line purchasing can be provided (customers can purchase a listed item via credit card, bank draft or virtual cash); we charge 5% of the total purchase price, and supply the remaining 95% to you via Business Check.
Several different levels of VR are available.
When the Clarknet Virtual Mall goes public, all
companies using vrhome web design services will have a
advertising link in the Virtual entry space.
We will provide your company with a lease on a Internet voice capable computer, a business hours access to the Internet, and training to utilise the system, which allows individuals browsing your web page to hold voice conversations with anyone on your staff: $200.00/month; for an additional ($200 initial set-up for B&W, $500 Initial set-up for color)$200/month, we will set up a Showroom cam. We will provide your company with a showroom or lot camera that will feed live images to the Internet (this can also be used as a video phone, depending on placement).
Under the standard package, your domain
name(address on the World Wide Web) will be something like
"www.vrhome.com/yourname"; for an additional $150.00
one time fee, your domain name for the next 2 years would be
"www.yourname.com".
Other Important Information.
We perform a complete notification of 200 search engines and announcement services when you have given approval.
You are responsible for providing images of anything you want placed on the website; this does not include artwork and graphics, just images of the items you wish to sell, and your premises. The images can be provided in 2 different formats, VHS standard video tape, or 35mm stills (this does not apply to Clarksville, TN locations).
There will be a 3-10 day delay between website request and the time your site appears.
For the first 3 months of any contract, payment for services must be received no later than the 15th of that calendar month, or service will be suspended; after the 3rd calendar month of subsequent service, credit or net-30 terms may be arranged. Payment must be made by company check.
We will work with our clients to assure that their website is appropriate & satisfactory; final approval of the site contents will be made by the client.
We reserve the right to discontinue service at any time.
No adult images or content can be placed on your website; PG-13 rated material only.
