GUEST WRITER
My quest writer for this months issue has become my ghost writer. Hey, they get paid good money for being unknown. Did you read that one best seller, (written by, yah right) that one brunette celebrity, well never mind that.
I've taken quotes from my "quote -a- rama" corespondance with with my ghost writer, If I ever have to write about my life, she'll be the one to do it, she knows how weird I am, and can appreciate it.
The "quote -a- rama" moves like this, having starting with my having disclosed some of the finer points of having drank some beer named South Paw, to my ghost-writer, she responded:
Ghost writer: "Love your enemies just in case your friends turn out to be a bunch of bastards" (R.A. Dickson) and "Never ingest anything that has a picture of a kangaroo on the label" G.W.
Cassi: ( of course this intrigued me (especially the first quote) and the second quote made me roll on the floor and laugh. So I asked Ghost writer, "Where are you getting all these one liners, (refering to these and the many ones previous) "And how is it", Ghost writer, " that you are able to use them so uncannily appropriate?"
Ghost writer: " The man who has no inner life is a slave to his surroundings" (Henri Frederic Amiel) and " In America, anyone can become President. That's's one of the risks you take." (Adlai Stevenson) and "I have never seen a greater monster or miracle in the world than myself" ( Michel De Montaigne, 1533-1593)
Cassi: (my attempt in trying to play) "Walk Softly and carry a big stick" (President Roosevelt)
Ghost Writer: "The moral principles and precepts contained in the scriptures ought to form the basis of all our civil constitutions and laws. All the miseries and evils which men suffer from: vice, crime,... injustice, oppression, slavery, and war, proceed from their despising or neglecting the precepts contained in the Bible." (Noah Webster)
and: "Our laws and our institutions must necessarily be based upon and embody the teachings of The Redeemer of mankind. It is impossible that it should be otherwise; and in this sense and to this extent our civilization and our institutions are emphatically Christian....this is a religious people. This is historically true. From the discovery of this continent to the present hour, there is a single voice making this affirmation...we find everywhere a clear recognition of the same truth...These, and many other matters which might be noticed, add a volume of un-official declarations to the mass of organic utterances that this is a Christian nation." (Supreme Court Decision, 1892)
Cassi: " Tight fitting cowboy boots will go on easier if you spray the insides with silicone spray. They'll slip right on and off. It also helps control foot odor." (Mary Ellen) from her book, Fast! Fun! Easy! New! IDEAS that really work!
Ghost Writer: "One of the greatest labor-saving inventions of today is tomorrow" (V. Foss)
end
Note: Quote-a-Rama is still in progress and in incubator stage, Don't worry Ghost writer, I'll find some quotes somewhere, that challenge some sort of mental thinking, I am learning, I think. How about this, If at first you don't succeed try, try again. (I don't know which nerd it was that said that) Just joking, they will get better. To be continued.........
