Since I have a (Somewhat) captive audience, I am going to make mention of a subject that always comes up whenever anyone mentions weather & Clarksville in the same breath. I bet you can guess what it is; it involves "Snow" and "Southern Drivers". I'm a Displaced Northerner; part of my Drivers Ed class was how to "control a spin" by doing doughnuts in the snow covered parking lot; and yes, it is frustating being behind someone who is driving 10mph to the nearest grocery store to get 2 weeks worth of groceries, because the weather forecast mentioned "possible accumaltion". But guess what? according to the Police Dept., Those cars in the ditches and in all the wrecks are mainly Northeners; I think it has something to do with going faster than the flow of traffic, and the hwy. dept. having alloted 1 container of mortons for the region. |
