[S6] Robert Boyd

Hello,
I found your Jack/Jacks Family site yesterday. I was quite pleased to find
ancestors for my Nancy Boyd who married my Caleb Antram listed in your
site. However, we have some differing background information as to birth
sites.

I have Robert Boyd born in Harper's Ferry, VA, 10 Dec 1782 and moving to PA
as a boy. His father was William Boyd from Ireland who went to VA and then
to PA. I have 2 references: Fayette Co, PA Biographies and also History of
LaSalle Co 1886, Vol. 11. (I can't guarantee they are without flaw.)

The PA Census indicating the children of Robert Boyd and Rebecca Work Boyd
(who was a native of, married in, and died in Fayette Co, PA) were all born
in Fayette Co, PA. Also the 1850 Census, shows son Samuel Work Boyd married
to wife Sarah with several children listed.

Another daughter, Mary Boyd, a sister to Nancy Boyd, also married into my
family line when she married Davis Woodward. I would be happy to share my
information and/or straighten out my records if you have some other
documentation.

As per Jack Newsletter, Volume XII.II, the following is forwarded:
Margaret "Peggy" Jack married John "Jack" Bowmanm 21 Apr 1800 in Knox
County, TN who died in 1815, she then married Edmond Newman on 25 Feb
1822 in Knox County, TN. The following children were born to John &
Margaret: SAMUEL, born abt 1801, died Aft 1844; MARY "POLLY", born 22
Oct 1802, married Frederick A. Michaels 24 Mar 1819, died 16 Sep 1845;
ANN, born abt 1804, married Obadiah Hudson 10 February 1825, died aft
1844; ELIZABETH, born abt 1805, married Charles Newman 1835, died aft
1844; JOHN N., born 1812, married Milly 1835, died aft 1855. If you can
add any information I would very much appreciate getting it. Also if I
can help you further, please advise.
